Echo Of The Spirit

Slowing down, stepping aside

Sitting still, closing eyes

Breathing in, breathing out

Churning mind – quiescent,

re-focusing beyond …

Unheard by outer ear,

distinct to quickened heart,

deep calls out to deep

in life-giving, unutterable words

shimmering from Love’s core

filling empty spaces between,

inviting into intimacy

Re-assuring, eloquent silence

bears eternity towards time,

and stills my raging seas,

and calms oppressive storms,

and creates peace within …
